reconstituted meats

I had a double-cheeseburger at lunch today. It sucked. Didn't even feel like ground beef - more like beef that had been in a blender too long and then clumped together before frying into a patty shape.

I keep telling myself I'll never have lunch in cafeteria again, and yet I always manage to find myself woefully ill-prepared for a brownbagging.

For example - I've had the same balogna-mock chicken sandwich for the last week every day. Some days with and some without a slice of swiss cheese. But still. I wind up with processed meats nonetheless. And that's sad considering the salary I make.
